Electrical Power

Data Logger Module For Fleet Management & Incident Analysis

Datalogging is an easily configurable fundamental tool for monitoring and optimising vessel performance, safety, and maintenance.

- It systematically collects and stores data from various onboard systems and sensors, including engines, navigation equipment, propulsion systems, and environmental monitoring devices. Typically, engine parameters, energy consumption rates, DP parameters etc...

- By continuously logging this data, engineers and owners can gain valuable in sights into the operational efficiency of the vessel, identify trends or anomalies that may indicate potential issues, and make informed decisions to optimise performance and ensure compliance with regulations

Charge Management & Predictive Module For Electrical Vessel Fleet Real Time Management

The module allows Electrical Vessel Captains and Wind Farm onshore control room to monitor and manage in real time:
- Vessel consumption and expected autonomy with live metocean and planned route data as input.

Implementing critical control systems requires meticulous and structured software development. PLC code often neglects formal processes and adequate testing. Our method emphasises fault tolerance, redundancy, and advanced alarm handling, rooted in extensive experience with marine and offshore systems. Years of developing systems for Classification Authority Design Appraisal and Approval attest to our commitment to meeting standards such as:

We offer comprehensive installation, testing, inspection, and commissioning services for Submarine Power Transmission & Communications Networks in the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Renewables sector. Notable projects include our involvement in the development and construction of several Offshore Wind Farms. We managed and executed the Infield Array Cabling termination contract for our client, a leading owner and operator of Offshore Wind globally.

This encompassed the creation of offshore installation and testing procedures, overall project management, and delivery of the complete termination package. Our contributions included installing 164 Hang Off Clamps, designing and constructing all Cable Containment, completing 492 High Voltage (33kV) Switchgear Terminations using Euromold 440TB Series Separable 'Tee' Connectors ,and executing 3936 Single Mode Fibre Optic Fusion Spliced Terminations.

Additionally, we conducted post-installation testing services such as TDR, OTDR, IR & CR, provided Field Engineering Support, QA/QC,  and supervised Mechanical Completion.

Elsys offers project management assistance to clients involved in vessel construction, conversion, large mobilisations, modifications, and complex offshore construction projects. Whether it’s delivering remote back-office support or hands-on assistance at shipyards, alongside or offshore we deploy experienced teams for successful project execution. Our extensive experience includes new build projects such as Cruise Ships, Super & Mega Yachts, Tankers, Bulk Carriers, Car Carriers, Survey Vessels, Cable Ships, Pipe Layers, Trenching Support Vessels, ROV Support Vessels, Diving Vessels, Offshore Construction Vessels, IMR Vessels, Drill Ships, and Dredgers.

Converting vessels, especially larger projects, presents distinct challenges. Elsys offers inclusive design, engineering, and project management services, ensuring resilient and compliant solutions. Our proficiency in meeting Classification Society requirements ensures initial compliance with regulations governing various marine asset types. We have successfully worked on conversions such as:

For the past two decades, we've played a crucial role in specifying, designing, building, mobilising and supporting various Subsea & Offshore Construction Equipment for the Oil & Gas industry and latterly the Offshore Wind industry. Recently, our work has been focussed on carrying out software and hardware upgrades for one of the World’s best known and most respected offshore and subsea construction contractors.

Within these type of projects, we have supplied on-site Project Engineers, Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Site Supervision, provided QA/QC Support, and conducted detailed interface engineering between Deck Equipment, Lay Systems, and the Vessel.
